Allison Powell - BS, MOT, OTR/L, CNS

Occupational Therapist

Allison is an Idaho native and Occupational Therapist with a certification in neurological speciality (CNS). She has experience in outpatient, home health and skilled nursing settings over the past five years. She has worked with clients with multiple diagnoses such as stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, ALS, Spinal Cord Injury, and Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Allison earned her B.S. in Psychology in 2015 at Boise State University and went on to earn her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2021.

Allison not only understands the concept of rehab as a clinician, but also as a young lady who experienced rehab after a traumatic motor vehicle accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury (SCI). She had an incomplete SCI at L1-L2 with paraplegia from the waist down, but was determined to walk again! Once stabilized and independent at wheelchair level, she was discharged. She searched and found a trainer willing to help her continue her rehab, and 2 years later…learned to walk using ankle foot orthotics (AFOs), went to Occupational Therapy (OT) school, and now practices with a perspective unique to most therapists.

In her spare time, you can find Allison outdoors in her garden, traveling, showing her 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air, going for a hike in the mountains, and spending time with her family/friends.
